Sweets are not for my Sweet

OK, so one of the hardest thing to resist is sweet. And yes most of us has sugar cravings. There are just some people who can't stop this and there are ones that ended up in sugar addiction. I myself is sometimes guilty of these cravings. But how are we going to control this very unhealthy habit?

One of the things that will help you to stop this is to not take sodas. Soft drinks maybe one of your favorites but you really have to stop drinking it. Soft drinks does taste good but they are just not healthy so just cut them out. Remove them from your list and you are definitely helping yourself.

Another thing is to avoid Artificial sweeteners. Why? Based on research studies, these artificial sweeteners actually increase your sugar cravings, they increase your appetite, and it has aspartame, known to be very bad for your health.

Try not to buy those junk food and take it home. why? simply because if you have sweets at home, It's so hard to avoid it. You will end up sneaking for that candy bar at night. Especially if in your head you know that it would be really easy to just walk to your pantry and get one. Now try to take home fruits like bananas, apples grapes and oranges. So whenever you are craving for sweet you have no choice but to grab one of these healthy fruits of course. Now give your body some time to adjust with those fruits and when it happens, Your body is now used to having those fruits instead of those sweet junk foods.

Keep a well balanced diet and exercise, this will not only keep your body fit but it also help the blood sugar level stable.

Here is one best example of substitutes for sugar, Honey is a healthier sweetener, as artificial sweeteners available in the market.

And why do we need to minimize or eliminate the Salt we take? Too much salt can raised blood pressure in some people. Be wary of overly salty foods, such as commercial sauces, soy sauce, fish sauce, and fish paste. Packaged foods often need no added salt on cooking or as condiments on the table. Just check the label for salt content. Substitutes for Salt, use herbs and spices in cooking and be very sparing with salt and salty sauces on your plate. Sugar: Cancer suspect food

Macro photograph of a pile of sugar (saccharose)Image via WikipediaEverybody needs a little bit of sweetness specially in some of our foods, but too much sugar are link to cancer, diabetes, heart conditions and other life threatening conditions. When we eat food (carbohydrates), it is true that the body sorts out all the elements and eventually breaks down the constituents into simple sugars (glucose and fructose). Glucose is the major sugar present in blood and body tissues. This is a essential sugar because all cells, specially brain cells, depend on glucose. But there is no RDA or recommended daily allowance for any kind of sugar , including glucose. We are not required to eat a measure of glucose everyday. The specialized enzymes of the digestive tract are equipped to convert carbohydrates into the basic glucose slowly into blood stream during the metabolic process, along with other needed nutrients.

One of the most common misconceptions today is that a white sugar (which is not glucose, but sucrose) provides quick energy and is a good food. The catch is that sugar is not absorbed and metabolized in the body in the same efficient way as the complex carbohydrates are. When we eat sugar, it is rapidly absorbed and passed on the liver where it is converted to triglycerides. The triglycerides are released onto the bloodstream and end up being stored as fats deposits in the veins and tissues and it means high cholesterol build up. High cholesterol and triglycerides are implicated in the development of cancer and other life threatening conditions.

Cancer is fearful disease because terminal patients die so slowly and painfully. It is the most common cause of death. Nutrition, lifestyle and everyday environments create the most common cancer risks. This risk can be reduced by dietary and lifestyle changes
So think twice before you put sugar and sweets in your mouth, Taking care of yourself is like living in a sweet life.
